Work Harder, Row Faster

I row boats and lift heavy things repeatedly. I aim to keep rowing boats faster and lifting heavier things, indefinitely.

Things You Realize When You Transition From Sculling To Sweep Rowing    »

oar-head:

1. You have to go through the blister-having-callus-forming-process all over again.
2. Only one side of your butt/back has to bare ALL of the pain. (Why??)
3. Catching a crab in a sweep boat is like being tied to a catapult.
4. You realize that coxswains are just about the most obnoxious things…

I mean, in response to #2:

Eat well, rest up, pull hard, keep going.

My best friend is a spectacular lady and y’all should go check out this amazing thing she and her boys did!

ACRAs 2013 and 2014.
Barely missing out on bronze to taking home gold.
I tell you what, the win feels a hell of a lot better, but I learned more from the loss. Gotta suffer to earn that hardware, folks.

ACRAs, post-first day of racing. 3x sunscreen application and I still got way redder. Yeesh.

Came first in my heat though!

Well, I’ve proven I can catch with a straight back and that I can catch with proper compression, now it’s just time to combine the two..
